Lutgarde is not entirely thrilled about returning to Eternatus' core, but war is imminent. The posters still puzzle them, but there's little time to consider this - they need everything they got to prepare for the times ahead of them.

Still, they put on a smile as they turn towards their partner for today's mission, "Hey there! I'm Lutgarde, happy to work with you- task could be better, but well." They laugh, then shake their head to quickly move on. "That's my partner Sylv." The black-red dyed Sylveon greets the other ranger with a friendly coo, doing his best to keep his fur from standing on all ends.

"It's getting stronger..." they murmur, and vaguely take a step in front of the other, as if to suggest that they should take the full force of the radiation - but they'd also be good to share, since they're still fairly new to this poisonous energy.

For better or for worse, it seemed now that unless they might be a peer of hers, Yuina was the senior in most situations now, including the expeditions into the ultra deep sea.[break]
She may have seen the face before, but she was certain she'd never met Lutgarde as the woman introduced herself. Better circumstances could always be said for meeting someone new for the first time, but with the way the region was going, was there a better circumstance? It was better there within the depths than say... chained to a prison cell by a toxic chain.[break][break]
"I'm Yuina, good to work with you too," she offered, glancing to the Sylveon that moved with them through the toxic cavern... Perhaps not the finest choice, she wouldn't wish this environment on any susceptible Pokemon.[break][break]
"Why don't you and Sylv work on gathering some of that crystal over there? My Pokemon and I can keep a look out for you while we assess," Yuina retuned, she especially wouldn't wish the toxins on anyone who might not have been down in the depths before... So she released Centos, looking to the iron sword beside her, knowing that his metallic armor could stave off some of the radiation for now while they got started.

Lutgarde has an objection on their tongue, but decide to nod instead. "We'll try and make it as quick as possible," they say then. Sylv would use Quick Attack to rapidly loosen some of the ore, while Sylph, their Togekiss, comes in with some Air Slashes and Dragon Hammers to fully free the ore that they could take away from here.

But it doesn't take long for all of their mental state to worsen, especially with how susceptible to poison they might be. Lutgarde gestures vaguely, and the two pokémon stop- Sylv immediately also using Light Screen while Sylph uses Life Dew. "How are you holding up, Yuina? Anything we can do?" they ask, before the now-familiar Nihilego come in sight.

"Ah, they're here again-" they mutter. The mining efforts are a bit forgotten in their focus on trying to stay sane.

Being there within the toxins, surrounded by the haze of it all, Yuina hates that it all felt almost familiar... Almost like the toxic stupor the toxic chain held over her. She felt her chest tighten, she hated that place that the chain put her in, how empty and devoid she had become... It was far more different than the shell, the shadow she already was, but still... Sometimes she felt herself longing for the toxic sublimity all over again... Anything to make it easier to not think, to not lose herself to herself...[break][break]
"We're doing okay Lutgarde, nothing down here is easy though and we're not going to pretend it is. Do you need help with anything," Yuina returned, she was the senior rank of the operation, as laughable to her it felt. She needed to ensure that Lutgarde was alright, and that especially meant defending her as the jellyfish slinked into the cavern.[break][break]
Centos came alight with his blue energy as he released waves of Tachyon Cutter, slicing away at the opposition, and knowing there would be more to come.

This place ... truly Lutgarde wonders how one could repeatedly come back. But everything in the name of gaining the upper hand against Team Rocket, a foe they know to be bad news if they should ever be allowed to reign supreme ...

"I'm ... alright, for now," they reassure Yuina with a thumbs-up and a smile that is a mix of genuine and forced - something fluctuating as they try and convince themself that they are, truly, fine. "It's ... not gonna get easier, though," they add, looking at the area around them as the Nihilego seem to actually retreat-

But the dizziness sets in, and the poison in the air has entered their brains. Sylv shakes itself, before letting out a warning hiss- "Not another one of those," Lutgarde murmurs as something that seems to be a fusion of Dusknoir and Swampert enters the stage.

And it's hostile. It lunges forward immediately, using Rock Tomb at both Sylv and Yuina's Centos to bury them here forever. Sylv tries and dodge with a Quick Attack, before launching into a counter attack with Magical Leaf. The rocks still hit him, however, and he winces in pain as he forcefully frees his leg from between two stones.

The toxic environment always proved dangerous, there was never any one instance that Yuina could recall being able to slink in and out without encountering something from the otherworldly place. The tera crystals always proved potent with power, given time, they always surged with an energy as the core of the beast reacted to their presence... And sure enough, this was exactly just that instance.[break][break]
A brutish monster emerged from the toxic haze, and it was quick to take charge of the environment. Centos' metallic hooves stomped over the ground, crackling with electricity and bringing forth an Electric Terrain. His blue energy whirred to life, and his pixelated eyes glowed as he slashed at the rocks being thrust at them with Tachyon Cutter. He continued his assault in sending the wisps of metallic energy rushing through the cavern, striking the summoned monster.[break][break]
"The tera energy can't last for long! Get ready to make a run for it as soon as we have an opening!"

Still, through these translucent barriers, you catch a glimpse of a nearby planet. One that looks suspiciously like the one you all live in—except that a large portion of it seems covered in land.[break][break]

You must escape with your gathered material. Your ally or allies may be incapacitated by the paranoia settling in their psyches, or perhaps, the eldritch mutations beginning to metamorphose their body or bodies.[break][break]

Depending on how much your characters have mined, you may need to lessen your extracted load to ensure successful escape from this wretched place. After all, the horrors that reside here may make chase.

Sylv manages to leap free with Ceto's help, firing another Magical Leaf towards the direction of the fusioned intruder. However, it seems like the Tera Energy here might waver in general - and Yuina's aforementioned opening might arrive quicker than anticipated.

"We betetr scramble then before it catches itself again!" Lutgarde suggests, drawing in one shaky breath as the poison continues to seep into their system. Any longer and they have no idea what might happen - and frankly, do not care to figure out right now. "Let's go!" they insist as the eyes from last time start to appear around them. They hop onto their Togekiss Sylph, waiting a moment for Yuina to get ready, too, ready for depature.

They've dropped a sizable amount of crystals while doing so, but they couldn't bother as they try and keep their mind still from the paranoia in their brain.
